Right and Wrong

I’m always curious about our younger contributors, what world they are living in and what they think about when they take their pictures.

Do they already worry about getting it right, or if they are cool enough or original enough as photographers?
⁣
Do they have their eyes on the prize - a fantastic photo they would take that would get them something? And if so, what is that something? What is important to them?
⁣
This image by Ignacio has immediacy, freshness and a complete lack of self consciousness. Plus my all time favourite - curiosity and looking back at us, as opposed to asking to be looked at.

I’m tempted to say the less you know about right and wrong in photography the more free you can be in your creative expression, yet you do need to know something.
⁣
So where is that line? I draw it somewhere...along the diagonal! Those of you who know me well by now will know that I keep coming back to composition as a vehicle for your idea, your message, your communication.
